Flukes

Flukes is a producer/songwriter from Forest Hill, South London and founder of Crazy Cousinz.

Born on June 27th 1989, he showed early signs of a musical talent and was classically trained on the piano and saxophone as a child. He soon moved on to DJing & producing which he has now been doing for over 6 years.

When explaining how he received his pseudonym, Flukes says: "I inherited the name Flukes when I was 13. The name followed with 2 pairs of Numark TT100's, Ten Records & a 2 channel mixer with a temperamental cross fader for my 13th birthday. After 6 months of thorough practice I decided DJ Flukes was a name worth keeping!"

The young musician first came to prominence in 2007, producing the smash hit 'Wifey Riddim' which featured some of the UKG's best artists such as Tinie Tempah, Sadie Ama, Bashy & Wiley. 'The dream of becoming a producer soon turned in to a reality when I saw the potential of 'Wifey Riddim' says Flukes.

His first major single 'Bongo Jam', was released by Defenders Ent in 2008 and features Calista from Channel 4's Big Brother celebrity highjack. 'Bongo Jam' would be the beginning of a string 'funky house hits'. To support the release he also released a collection of t-shirts and jumpers with the phrase "I love to play my Bongos" printed on the front, these t-shirts then inspired a complete range of Crazy Cousinz clothing to be designed.

By the tender age of 19, Luke 'Flukes' Reid would have moved on to producing & remixing for Estelle, Ne-yo, Jazmine Sullivan, Alesha Dixon & Kid Cudi.
