Crazy Cousinz present Funky Bashment
INFLATION Riddim – a club favourite produced by the Cousinz has become a favourite on the dancefloor and looks set to be a worldwide anthem. When dance music meets bashment – it always creates something that can bring both genre followings together and Crazy Cousinz have done just that for the first time with UK funky house.
Crazy Cousinz’ Flukes travelled to Paris recently to record a massive version with bashment artist, ‘Aidonia’, this track has since hit the worldwide clubbing scene and has gone down a storm with the ravers and dancehall fans alike!
DJ Swerve’s Kiss FM show saw Sean Paul do a freestyle over the beat bringing yet more attention to the ‘Inflation’ riddim’. BBC Radio 1 attracted further popularity when they organised for several celebrities to collaborate over the track renaming it ‘The Nelson Skank’ as a present for DJ Trevor Nelson who was returning from holiday. The collaboration featured popular names such as JLS, Donaeo, Gracious K, Sean Paul and KIG to name just a few.
Defenders is planning to release an EP with the hottest versions by some of the biggest dancehall stars, and is also in talks of shooting a mega mix video for the track. Watch this space for ‘Funky Bashment Vol 1’!
